Changes in the employment of foreigners
On June 1, 2025, the new law on the conditions for outsourcing work to foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Poland will come into force. The new law modifies the existing conditions for employing foreigners: among other things, it expands the list of circumstances justifying the refusal to issue a work permit, removes the labor market test, defines new offenses related to the employment of foreigners, introduces higher penalties for illegal employment of foreigners, requires sending scanned copies of contracts signed with foreigners to authorities, and obliges employers to use the assistance of sworn translators in certain situations.
Employers must prepare for employment under the provisions of the new law, as no transitional period has been provided for employers to adapt to the new employment realities.
